Where and what is Manchester Waters?

Manchester Waters is located at Pomona Island. A unique waterside site located on the edge of Manchester City and close to Salford Quays and Old Trafford and served by two Metrolink stations.

The redevelopment of Manchester Waters to create a unique waterside neighbourhood to live in, visit and enjoy is well underway, with over 500 homes already provided to date, alongside planning permission for a further 300 homes as well as an apart-hotel.

Peel Waters is now intending to progress a planning application to deliver the regeneration of the rest of the site comprising a further 2,600 high-quality homes, supported by new convenient amenities, food and drink spaces, retail shops, workspaces and a hotel.

The vision for Manchester Waters

The illustrative plans set out how this ‘island’ site could be transformed into a unique waterside neighbourhood to live in, visit and enjoy.

Located between the Bridgewater Canal and the Manchester Ship Canal, up-to 2,600 high-quality homes, supported by new convenient amenities, food and drink spaces, retail shops, workspace and a hotel could be delivered on this currently vacant site.
